Amber India Restaurant
2290 W El Camino Real, Mountain View, Highlands-Baywood Park,
Stick to the lunch buffett and that will resolve any service issues you have. I never liked Indian food until my Indian boss brought me here in 1999. Mmm mmm good! And it remains a favorite. The Santana Row is larger and has a different menu - a little more contemporary - but they are both great choices if you are not acquainted with Indian food this is the place to be introduced.

Cafe Borrone
1010 El Camino Real, Menlo Park, Highlands-Baywood Park,
I ordered the Tuscan veggie sandwich which turned out to be tasty. I also ordered a smoothie which was alright. The place was absolutely busy on a Saturday afternoon with zero privacy. The sandwiches and plates are super pricey ($8- $12)

Hotaru Japanese Restaurant

Best Japanese Restaurant in Bay Area Hands Down. Ambience may not be fancy, but service is decent. Food portion and quality is excellent. Only Japanese restaurant we go to in the area. And to top it all off its authentic japanese!!!(Hard to come by these days, trust me!)

La Taquera-A
2889 Mission St, San Francisco, Highlands-Baywood Park,
The best burrito in the bay area. The food is fresh, tasty, and the variety is kept to a few very good choices of meat or vegetarian.. The service is fast and efficient. The only place I know and go to where the food is always very good. The price is right for quality ingredients. I also like the ambiance...friendly, fun place to eat.
